Team Rules
1. You must respect all teammates, coaches, and fans at all times.
2. If you do not show up to practice, games or mandatory team functions for two weeks, and a coach or GM is not contacted with an explanation within that time, you can be voted off the team.
3. Failure to pay player fees by date set by the Treasurer will result in ban from all team activities.
4. Conduct considered detrimental to the team can be put to a court vote for suspension, probation, and banishment from the team.
Brethren Court
The Brethren Court is a monthly meeting where all the business of the team is discussed and voted upon. All players are welcome to attend and participate in the Brethren Court meeting as long as they are eligible according to the Court Rules.
The Brethren Court is Always the 3rd Saturday of the Month at 5pm at the Pizza hut in Pendleton
Court Rules
1. All Court meetings will be held on the last Saturday of the each month so all will know the place and date.
2. You must attend a Court meeting to cast a vote.
3. You must sign a contract stating you will be playing with the Pirates for the current year before your vote is counted.
4. Once a vote has pasted the only way it may be reopened is if the GM okay’s it along with a court majority vote to reopen the issue.
5. If a player is suspended, ban, or on probation from the team he is not eligible to vote.
6. Coaches are asked to attend and voice their opinions but they do not have a vote.
Suspensions, Probation, and Banishment
1. If a player knowingly breaks a team rule it will be put to a court vote to determine the proper punishment to be given.
2. First time suspensions are for one game (and two practices). The player must attend the week’s practices (and sit out) and the game of the suspension or further action will be taken. Player will also be put on a month’s probation as to where a second offence can result in banishment from the team.
3. Second time suspensions are for two games (and four practices). The player must attend the week’s practices (and sit out) and the games of the suspension or further action will be taken. Player will also be put on a year’s probation as where another offence could result in banishment from the team.
4. If an action is deemed to be extreme the GM holds the right to place immediate action on the matter and will be voted on at the next court meeting.
5. The coaching staff at any time has the right to ask any player to leave the field or sidelines. The player must leave without disruption. If the incident is severe enough, the matter will be brought to the Brethren Court.
